Put simply, Margo and Felix’s arrival back at the Kingston home was… messy.
Her parents were crying and absolutely furious with both of them.
Everyone wanted to know what had happened.
And, very importantly, everyone was very frantic to stop them from hugging.
At first, a few men in protective suits attempted to pull Margo off by force, but when this shorted out the electricity in the entire house, they opted to instead ask Felix to very nicely convince her that she had to let go of him — for safety reasons.
The moment she did, he’d been ushered away by a swarm of suited-up doctors to a small building on the premises that was usually used for Margo’s checkups.
He’d been there several times before, but not under such circumstances. Margo had never been particularly fond of doctors, and that predictably made it difficult for them to handle any medical procedures she needed done, including a monthly checkup. The entire process was much more streamlined if he was there getting his checkup at the same time. ARNEN even paid for it. It was annoying to have to do it so often, admittedly, but he was not in a position to refuse free medical attention from some of the most prestigious doctors in the world. He was told the checkups she had to get while he was away at Camp were always hell for everyone involved.
This time was different though. This time it was just him, being sat down in a chair and having every test in the book done on him. His blood was drawn, his eyes and lungs were checked, and he was asked all kinds of questions about how he was feeling. Mentally, physically, emotionally, everything.
