The footage kicks off without warning or preamble, black artifacts on the screen clearing away with only a second to register a flashlight’s beam illuminating the edge of a doorframe and a hallway beyond before the camera’s bearer surges forward with a burst of speed.

Apparently deep in her thoughts as she makes her way back through the corridors of the Pit, Wendy’s reaction time fails her as the figure suddenly explodes from the darkness of an unlit storage room.

Within an instant, they’ve wrapped their arms around her waist, causing her breath to hitch as she lets out a startled, strained squeal of a noise. She kicks out involuntarily as she’s lifted off her feet and swung around in a half-circle with the unknown operative’s momentum. The light spins wildly as it drops out of her hands, clattering to the floor.

The camera catches every detail of her pallid features in the dim light, terror visibly shooting through her system as she whirls around to face her assailant.

As the recognition sets in, though, her shoulders relax and she lets out a loud groan of frustration and relief, immediately punching them in the shoulder. “God— I told you to stop doing that!”
