Several hours worth of footage paints the screen, unbroken and crystal clear as the investigation proceeds without any meaningful progress.

Wendy speaks with the staff, but it becomes immediately clear that they are firm on their stance. They refuse to give any information, and to press further would begin to verge on interrogation.

Reluctantly, Wendy backs off.

The crews split up into groups of two, sweeping through the LAHC docks and the dragon barns. Again, there is nothing to find. Crew Five’s dragons are gone, and the sled they borrowed for their undercover operation is nowhere to be found. Though they question several workers, stablehands, and harriers, no one has any information to give.

As the day drags on, Kalser, Bequerel, and Crux arrive on a freighter sled, disguised similarly to the already present operatives. They’d had to leave the rest of their crews behind, to preserve whatever secrecy they would still be able to maintain about their presence and intention.

Even with their help, no leads turn up as day drags into dark and the crews split, rejoin, and split again. Mouths are shut. Eyes are closed. No one saw anything.

For all intents and purposes, it’s like Hako and his crew never made it to Pavonis at all.
